roasted peanut soup with lemongrass & ginger, asparagus with fromage blanc, piperade & black pepper glazed fennel on foccacia
jelly beans
strawberries with vanilla yogurt & granola
volunteer shift @ let's cook -- a puerto rican feast
corn edam fritter with mayo & ketchup
avocado & salsa on cracker (provided by a guest)
pineapple avocado salad with cilantro lime vinaigrette
adobo roasted pork
kidney beans & pumpkin with yellow rice
one bite of mofongo (deep fried plantains baked with pork rinds)
guava jelly filled sponge cake with meringue

So if you're a volunteer at Let's Cook, are you helping to facilitate the cooking? Or what goes on there? It sounds like fun!

i think you would love it. it's a cooking store/school that puts on classes. as volunteers we get to help out at the classes and eat whatever the chef cooks. we get store credit everytime we volunteer and big discounts on wine. it's fabulous :)
